The American Academy of Water Resources Engineers had its successful debut back in October 2004 and has since experienced rapid growth, with currently over 600 Diplomates. This success is a direct result of the active participation of water resources engineers and their respective organizations becoming stakeholders in the Academy. The willingness of our Diplomates as well as their organizations to provide financial support helps further our mission to "Elevate the Standards" for the water resources engineering profession.
As we mark the beginning of our 8th year, we are becoming recognized as a force in the water resources community. Our primary objective is to elevate and enhance the practice of water resources engineering. We also support and promote positions on water resources issues important to the public health, safety, and welfare.
