Message from AAWRE 2017 President Debbie Lee
Fellow AAWRE Diplomates and Colleagues:
It has been a privilege and an honor to serve as your AAWRE President for the past year. The opportunity to work with such a distinguished and dedicated group of professional engineering leaders has been a true joy.
We have worked hard to raise the visibility, prestige and significance of the AAWRE and our Diplomate board certification program. We have made progress and on the right path.
I am proud to highlight our top AAWRE successes this past year:
I'd like to extend my sincere gratitude to Mike Markus, our Past-President, who rotated off the Board, after 6 years of service on the AAWRE Board. Under his leadership, AAWRE advanced in many areas and raised our level of visibility and significance. Mike and David Dee EWRI Ex-Officio will be missed on the Board.
We welcome Pascale Champagne as our At-Large Trustee and Cris Surbeck as EWRI Ex-Officio. As Immediate Past-President, I will do my best to support our new President Roger Kilgore and President-Elect Joe Manous, and the rest of the Trustees.
I ask you to continue to show your support of AAWRE by encouraging your fellow colleagues to apply to become a D.WRE, for you to continue to seek leadership opportunities, and spread the word of AAWRE's mission and goals.
Thank you again for your kind support to me personally and for loyal support of the AAWRE and the engineering profession.
